Dear HarmonySite administrator,

Here are the latest new features in your HarmonySite.  All were taken from the top-ranking suggestions in our Feature-Suggestion tool (the little smiley-face icon down the right-hand edge of your Admin Dashboard)...

1.  Photo albums can now contain videos

This is pretty well described by the heading above:  Photo albums can now contain videos.  Specifically YOUTUBE videos.  Now, when you click the "Add new photo" button within a photo gallery, you'll see the option to upload EITHER a photo OR the URL of a YouTube video.

2.  The Home page slideshow can now contain videos

Again, fairly self-explanatory.  It's now possible for your Home page slideshow to contain videos.  Again, the videos must come from YouTube.  When adding a new "banner" to the slideshow, you can now specify EITHER a photo OR the URL of a YouTube video.

Notes

• The video will be cropped to the size of the slideshow (usually 1150 x 448 pixels)
• The video starts and stops only when you click on it - no autoplay
• A video that has started will continue playing even if the slideshow cycles to the next slide, and you won't be able to stop it until the slideshow cycles around to the video again (or you refresh the page).
• You can prevent the slideshow cycling to the next slide by simply hovering your mouse over the playing video (this applies to ALL slides, not just videos).
• The videos won't play (or even be shown) in the full-page version of the slideshow (called "Stockland").

3.  There's a new page to bulk-update or bulk-delete events

A much-requested feature.  There's now a new link on your Admin Dashboard, on the "Events" row, called "Events Bulk Update/Delete".  Click that link to find the new page of that name.

On the page, you first select which events you want updated/deleted, by ticking the box next to the event.  Then scroll down to the second section of the page, where there are two tabs:  "Delete" and "Update".  Click the tab that corresponds to what you want.  On the "Delete" tab, simple click the button to delete the selected events.  On the "Update" tab, you then enter/select values that you wish to have changed (e.g. the event category, start time, venue, availability tracking, etc), and click the "Update" button at the bottom to apply those new values/selections to all selected events.

BE CAREFUL.  Each value you enter/select will be applied to ALL events.  So if, for example, you enter a start date, then that start date will be applied to all the events you selected, so then they'll all be on the same day.
